Description:

Error 15: ERROR_INVALID_DRIVE
15 (0xF) The system cannot find the drive specified.

Explanation: One of the following has occurred: (1) the specified drive does not exist; (2) the drive letter is incorrect; (3) you are trying to restore to a redirected drive; or (4) you are trying to restore to a read-only drive.

Common: Yes! Error 15 is frequently experienced by millions of users.

Possible Causes: missed config settings, missing system files, wrong system settings, windows registry pile ups, delayed updates, memory errors or a corrupted system registry.

Solutions/Fix: First, try recommended simple solutions; For situations (1) and (2) above, retry the command using the correct drive letter. For situation (3), you cannot use the Restore command on a redirected drive. For situation (4), check the permissions on the drive, System restart, download recent Microsoft updates, system restore or backup, if those steps don’t help.
