What are Error Codes?

published on 24.01.2011 in Error Codes

When programs or even your PC’s operating system does not run properly, system error codes are displayed on your computer monitor.

The codes are made up of a series of error numbers and a short messages, that briefly describe specific error information.

What do the codes mean?
Windows error codes can provide you clues regarding the problems in the computer’s program(s) and exactly how to repair them, ” if you choose
to do so yourself” (Not Recommended).

The device manager (software/hardware) errors are completely different from ‘OS’ system errors.

However, insufficient computer resources and incorrect installation of drivers are one of the main issues why device manager error codes report.

Note: These device errors are also called hardware error codes.

Stop Error Codes:
Stop error codes or the ‘Blue Screen of Death’ codes are the worse error messages a PC user can get.
‘Stop errors’ convey the message that your PC system is having a huge problem and because of this needs to restart.

The stop messages and the files or drivers that may have to do with your system crashing are all displayed in the blue screen.
By writing down the stop message and other information on screen, you’ll be able to search for a a way to ‘fix’  your computer malfunction.

But, it may be quite difficult to get the stop messages and information written down, because your pc restarts immediately.
However you don’t need to worry, since there are many easy ways to prevent your operating system from rebooting without your permission whenever a stop error arises.

If you’re not sure how to proceed with the repair, do not attempt these steps since you could do more harm than good.
Another less risky route to take in finding the solution to your computer ‘stop error problem’ is to use a highly-recommended registry cleaner.

Aside from finding your PC for files entries causing the error, the registry cleaner also can fix them.

In short, these Windows error messages are highly beneficial to all PC users, without them we would never be able to know what problems may exist or even where to begin with fixing them.
