A program error is exactly what it sounds like, there is an error within the program and depending on the severity or how bad the error is will determine if the program can still continue to operate or if the program must be restarted. Program errors are the results of a couple of different things that will be explained below, as well as the possible fixes for each of the causes of the Program Errors.
The first cause of Program Errors is if the program itself has been incorrectly written. Many times if a Program Error continues to happen at the same time when using, or opening, a program there is a good possibility that the error is actually within the code of the error itself. If this is the case there are a couple of different things that can be done to resolve the errors.
The first thing that can be done is to go to the manufacturers website and see if it is a bug within the code, as it there is a good possibility that you are not the only person suffering from this Program Error. If it is a known bug many times a software provider will put out a patch or a fix to prevent the program error from happening again. Another option that many publishers will consider, if there are known program errors, is to release a newer version of the software that has been fixed so that there are no more program errors within the code.
Another option to try to resolve specific programs program errors is to completely remove that program from your system and then reinstall the program. This is the best thing to do if you think that there is a corruption within the files of the program on you system itself, as opposed to poorly written code that is causing the program errors.
Many times a complete uninstall and re-install will fix the programs files. Prior to re-installing the program many people will run a registry cleaner through the entire system as this will ensure that if there were any issues within the registry that the files that were causing the program errors are removed completely, as keeping these files in the registry could cause a corruption to the version of the software you are attempting to re-install.
The final option to deal with specific software’s program errors is to look for an alternative to the program. Many times there are a lot of similar programs that can do very similar tasks. This is usually the last resort to trying to resolve program errors as often times saved files might be in a specific format that cannot be opened by other programs. Again this is usually the last resort as it can cause difficulties at the very beginning of using the files as there is a possibility that the files may need to be converted to another format.
