The error messages usually states that there is a Bad Gateway, the Service is Temporarily Down, or that there is a HTTP Error 502 – Bad Gateway. If the error has been coming up for a long time you might even want to contact the owner of the website, if you know who they are, and advise them of the issue as it is possible they might not even know that there is an issue causing the 502 error message to be displayed.
Many times even if the webmaster, or owner of the website, knows the cause of the problem it might be out of their control to fix it as they could be hosting the website or data on hosting companies’ servers. If this is the case they will most likely be working with that company to fix whatever the issue is that is causing the 502 error messages.
