A Runtime Error is a type of programming error that happens to programs on your computer system between the time the programs are loaded and until the programs are closed this is called the runtime.
There are numerous Runtime errors out there which all are very simple to understand as Microsoft has given each runtime error a specific numbered code so that each program developer or end-user can quickly diagnose the runtime problem that that particular program is experiencing.
Most runtime errors are typically not problems with the program itself but problems with the Windows operating system during the runtime of a program.
Listed below are some of the common runtime problem codes, what each code number means and how to fix it.
Code 6 Overflow tells you to make sure the program having this in error has all the latest updates if so uninstall the program and try reinstalling as this error could be due to improper program installation. If problem continues contact the program developer.
Code 7 Out Of Memory tells you the computer system does not meet the programs system requirements or that too much memory is being used for the program to run. If the computer meets the system requirements try reinstalling the program as this problem could be due to improper program installation or close programs that you are not using to free up memory.
Code 11 Division by Zero tells you there is a problem with the math formula in the program or the program’s code; make sure program has all the latest updates which might be causing this problem.
Code 13 Type Mismatch tells you to check that the system regional settings are set up correctly and that the program is compatible with your version of the Windows operating system you are using.
Code 48 Error in Loading DLL this error is caused due to a bad installation of the program causing the problem or that another programs installation has replaced the DLL for the program having the problem. Try closing all programs and reinstall the program again.
Code 53 File Not Found tells you that a file that is required for the program to run is not found try reinstalling the program or the missing files need to be copied back to the program having the problem.
Code 55 File Already Open Tells you the program or the file that is associated with that program is being used and the program does not have access to the file. Try closing all open programs and restart the program that is having the problem.
Some runtime errors may be caused by a corrupt registry causing the program not to run properly during the runtime causing the error. So if you notice runtime errors during the runtime of a program you should run a registry cleaner to get rid of harmful Malware that may have infected your registry, this will not only stop the runtime errors from happening but will also help the performance of your system by speeding it up.
