Toolbar.dll is a dynamic link library formatted file that is often associated with spyware or malware. This file is usually related to a tool bar that has been added to the system, and sometimes without the knowledge of the computer user, by a malicious website or program. There are times when toolbar.dll is not related to spyware, but the majority of times toolbar.dll
is related to spyware.
There are several ways to remove toolbar.dll which will be explained below.
The first way to remove the program, if it is in fact spyware, is to run a full system scan with a good spyware cleaner. If the program is in the database of the program the file will be removed automatically. If toolbar.dll is not related to a spyware program you will just need to find any of the toolbar programs that could be using the .dll file and simply remove the program. This will fix any issues related to toolbar.dll.
If the file is not removed with the spyware cleaner then the next thing that can be done is to manually remove toolbar.dll. To do this simply open the search box in your system and type in toolbar.dll. This will identify the location of toolbar.dll and allow you to remove the file.
When removing toolbar.dll you will also need to remove the program that will be using that file as simply removing one file out of the program will most likely create an error message stating that toolbar.dll cannot be located when the program is trying to locate the file that you just removed.
Another way to fix this problem is to run a full registry scan to try to eliminate the issues related to toolbar.dll. This can be quickly and easily done with one of the registry cleaners on the market today as it will do a full deep scan of the registry, which is where toolbar.dll and other dll files are located, identify the problems and fix them.
